Yep, we can dive in Vietnam :)
Vietnam has a long coastline, so there are many beautiful islands and bays where we can enjoy recreational diving. Two of the most popular seasonal diving spots, where many dive centers run daytrips, are Nha Trang and Phu Quoc Island.
Along the coast, I often go diving on my own with my buddy, or with a small group of buddies. It’s usually relaxed and unplanned — I like to call it “Lặn lang” means Adventure dives just going with the flow and enjoying the ocean.
Phu Quoc island
Phu Quoc is an island in the South of Vietnam. It’s a place of green forests, clear blue water, and long beaches that glow gently at sunset. Life here moves slowly, mornings by the sea, afternoons under trees and evenings watching the sky turn warm shades of orange. Phu Quoc island is comforting and easy to fall in love with, whether you’re there to explore the ocean or simply enjoy doing nothing at all.
Diving here is full of surprises - coral reefs are dense with currents, school of snapper, fusilier, yellow-tail barracudass and many small marine creatures to quietly observe. The diving here feels relaxed and peaceful. It’s not about chasing big encounters, crystal clear visibility but about taking your time: enjoying the small details that make every dive special.
Nha Trang
Is a coastal bay city in central Vietnam. In the right season from Mar - Sep, the water is crystal clear, warm with many islands that are ideal for diving. It’s a great place to get an international diving certification, practice and improve your skills and experience deeper dives. And of course - The food is amazing too :)
Vinh Hy bay
Vinh Hy Bay is in a dry, rugged region, yet it still holds a lot of untouched beauty. Green mountains surround a clear, beautiful coastline with warm water. The local food is simple and down-to-earth. Diving here means exploring around large rocks, narrow passages, and little swimthrough with plenty of interesting things to discover along the way.
Qui Nhon
Qui Nhon, Binh Dinh is my second favorite coastal area in Vietnam. I love it for its peaceful beaches - still quiet, still untouched and not crowded with tourists. The sea stretches out in deep blue under the warm, golden summer sun, matching the gentle warmth of the water.
Diving through wall and swimming into wide cave, open spaces makes me feel small again - a quiet reminder of how vast and powerful the ocean really is.
Phu Yen
Phu Yen is a quiet stretch of coastline that feels calm and honest. Diving in Phu Yen feels simple and grounding. Swimming along the rocks and reefs, with schools of small fish moving calmly around you. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try to impress — it just lets you feel connected to the ocean, and quietly reminds you to slow down.
