King Cruiser Wreck is a famous wreck dive near Phuket - a passenger ferry sank in 1997 and later became a thriving artificial reef.
We went here the second time with hope to see the Whale shark again :)
Diving in Phuket
I often chose a full day with 3 dives at 3 dive sites: King Cruiser, Shark Point, and Koh Doc Mai. One time, because of strong winds and rough weather, the boat had to change plans and took us to Anemone Reef instead.
We didn’t expect much at all but what we got was incredible. We dove with a leopard shark, swam over a beautiful field of anemones, met an old sea turtle that cared about nothing except eating and even saw the largest yet gentlest fish in the ocean: The whale shark.
It was a completely unplanned dive day. My buddy and I just suddenly thought, “Why not go diving in Phuket on our day off?” And it turned into one of those unforgettable days that remind you why you love diving so much.
